I've been buying Yummi Bears Calcium and Vitamin D3 for my son since he was a little kid, and he still takes them as a teen. I've always felt a calcium/vitamin D supplement is essential, especially because he's been raised with no milk or dairy products due to food allergies (except recently he's been able to eat some cheese). These vitamins don't satisfy all of his daily calcium requirements, but in combination with fortified soy milk and orange juice they provide the extra calcium he needs. He's always been more than happy to take these chewables because they taste good- like sweet and sour candy. These Yummi Bears are easy to chew because the pectin makes them softer than a gelatin gummy. Obviously these have sugar- the only downside so far as I can tell- but that's to be expected from any gummy vitamin and is preferable, in my opinion, to a chewable vitamin with artificial sweeteners.What I like best is that these are a vegetarian formula- so there's no dairy and these use fruit pectin instead of pork or bovine gelatin. Another big plus is these have no artificial dyes or flavors; instead, these vitamins get color from natural foods such as turmeric, black carrot juice and purple berry juice. I've bought these vitamins more times than I can count, and the bottles are always safety sealed inside and have a plastic seal around the outer cap. I feel safe giving these to my son as he's never had any issues with them, despite growing up with many allergies in addition to dairy (such as peanut/nut allergy). I've scrutinized vitamin labels closely over the years due to my son's allergies and think the ingredients compare favorably to other calcium supplements. One serving is three bears, so this is a one month supply. These are an excellent supplement and have been my pick for a calcium supplement for my son for years. Definitely recommended.We have gotten these for years and the kids love them! Only complaint is that they no longer come in a larger bottle, so I have to buy more which is such a waste, two kids consume one bottle VERY FAST at 3 vitamins a day, per kid. Other than that, love that they're organic vitamins and not filled with the chemicals for growing bodies. Kids love the color, flavor and how often they can have one. 3x a day they get one.My kids like those. There are not many vegetarian multi vitamin options out there. If I could find another, I would definitely give it a shot.I got a total of 4 bottles of these. The gummies in 3 out of those 4 boxes were very sticky to the point where almost all gummies was stuck to each other. It was as if it waited on the shelf for so long so it got the humidity from the air. (I live in Florida, that happens with many things in here). The very first box we got did not have that problem. All the gummies were freely jumping in the bottle when you shake it.The serving size is 3 so you run through the bottle pretty quickly. 3 gummies is covering 100% of most vitamins and minerals for young kids (I believe 2-4, check the box label) However, as for my 9 year old, he needs 6 gummies per day to get the 100% intake of some of the ingredients. So one bottle is only good for 10 days for my 2 kiddos. That makes them pretty expensive for my budget.I dont think I will buy them again. Looking for an alternative.They arrived quick and with good packaging. All of the seals on the container and box were good and intact. My kids were excited to try them and we opened them right up. They looked great and had a slight sugary coating, but nothing extreme. Then the taste.....somewhere while researching through what vitamin to buy I did not realise that these are SOUR vitamins and minerals. I went and looked at my order in case I bought the wrong one........ nope! So I went back and read through the product info to figure out what I missed. Apparently not much, since that is not written out anywhere that I found easily. The one place I did found it was if you look VERY carefully at the product picture, in small print on the bottom right hand corner it does say sour. My family does not like sour anything and these have quite the pucker factor to them. So we were sad about it :( So I guess for now we will stick to the Smarty Pants vitamins. But if you like sour this vitamin is for you!These vitamins are ideal for a vegetarian who lacks calcium. The texture is different than other yummi bears vegetarian vitamins but they are still equally as tasty. They are small and pretty much candy. I would say they're similar in flavor to sour patch kids, just the coating is less sugary. I am a 26 year old vegetarian woman and I enjoy them just as much as a child would. These are significantly better than any chewable calcium vitamin I've ever had. Many others often taste chalky or leave an unpleasant coating in my mouth but that's not the case with these yummi vitamins. Just as an added bit of info, I take these in addition to an adult vegetarian multivitamin which lacks calcium.A word to the wise, if you don't like sour candies, you'd be better off skipping on these because they do make your mouth pucker quite a bit. I love them but my husband doesn't like sour and therefore dislikes them.Love this. So tasty and kids love it so much too. I found that my children's appetite got better after taking these even though I did not buy these vitamins for that purpose. So that's a win win. Highly recommend!Recieved expired product!
