At first they didn't eat it because they were used to the cheap pellets you buy at a fish store, but once they started eating it more they love it, I sprinkle some in the water and they go crazy now. One of my fish has grown a lot, I'm not sure if he went through a growth spurt or what but he's literally grown a couple inches in the few months I've been feeling him this.Flavor I can't talk to, I didn't taste it. I have a Koi pond, and koi pellets are pretty big. Besides koi I have little fan tail goldfish. The regular loi food is too big for the goldfish. The small pellets are a perfect size for the smaller fantail. They are even good for transitioning my grow out tank fish from flakes to pellets. The description says 3” or more for pellet size, and these guys are right at 3”. Some of them are struggling with the pellet size and I have to supplement with a smaller feed. The bigger fish love it, though, so it must be tasty. I would recommend it for 4” and up fish. The pellets are just a bit too large for smaller fish.The fish seem to like it as much as the more expensive, smaller bag brand I bought locally.The fish must like the flavor as the gobble it down quickly!Fish food these days seem to fluctuate I guess like everything else but this company per pound seem to be the best out there I took a chance my fish actually loves this stuff so I would recommend this I've gone through many different types of pond fish food but I think they prefer this .you can't go wrongItem works well for various varieties of fishBought for our koi and goldfish.
