So first of all, I bought this mask at the Dollar Tree. Much of this skincare line is available the Dollar Tree, so save yourself some money. $1.25/mask. So just know that my expectations were low, but I was willing to pay for this and try it out. I'm used to using clay masks and sheet masks, so I was curious how a gel mask would be. Well, since it's not a sheet mask, one of the first things I noticed was how much more liquid was in the bag, since the mask wasn't absorbing as much. The mask itself felt like somewhere between wet seaweed and a Dr. Scholl's insole. I unfolded it and one of the 1st things I noticed is that the nose flap was very tiny, too tiny for even the smallest nose. Then I put it on my face. Let me just tell you, I have a very large, very proportionate face. Forehead, chin, cheekbones, nose, etc. Tell me why the part that was supposed to go below my nose and above my lips wound up right between my lips? Was making fart noises with the flap. The area for my forehead was more than long enough, going onto my hairline. Again, the nose was not really covered at all. The rest of it felt crooked no matter what I did in the mirror. The liquid from the bag splattered everywhere. I noticed that there was some more green stuff left in the bag, maybe remnants of the nose part?That's where I looked further at the instructions and discovered that this is really not a proper replacement for a sheet mask. If you're like me, and like to do a 10 step Korean skincare regimen, you cannot use this mask between serums and creams. You have to wash it off after 15 minutes or the liquid might cause irritation. I groaned. I decided that this $1.25 mask was no longer worth my aggravation, took it off and rinsed my face.Elizavecca sheet masks is usually what I go with, and I'll go right back to it.
